The Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change who is our MP has now been petitioned to take forward a complaint in regard Natural Englandís handling of Part of the Speckled Wood Estate in Hastings. The Friends of Speckled Wood Management Trust & HMRC Charity has asked for their local MP to sign the paperwork to allow the Parliamentary Ombudsman to investigate Natural England in regard to two complaints. The first complaint is regarding their complaint procedure and the second is regarding the advice given to the police by one of their wildlife officers.… Read More»

Friends of Speckled Wood have been working with Charity Choice to enable the Public to Donate to Save Speckled Wood, Hastings. It is the only true way to save this location. The Friends of Speckled Wood Management Trust and Charity have been established for over three years at our address in Hastings East Sussex. Our Aims The aims of the Trust and Charity are simply to obtain the Speckled Wood, Estate for the benefit of the Public Community and Schools which use it daily as a recreational resource, and to travel safely to one of the three schools in the area. To achieve this we need funding to purchase the land from multiple owners. This is slowly becoming a reality as the cost of the land will fall with this decision process, which is currently happening.… Read More»
