Run the Paris Half Marathon for Charity
Mar 06 2016
The "Semi de Paris" or Paris half marathon takes place on Sunday 6th of March 2016. Traditionally taking place in the East of Paris, runners make their way along the Avenues of the Bois de Vincennes and the boulevards and streets of the 12th arrondissement before heading into central Paris, looping around Hôtel de Ville city hall.
Due to the Paris Half Marathon now attracting around 40,000 people with over 4000 of these runners being from overseas, the start location has moved from the Charlety Stadium to the Parc Floral de Paris Botanic gardens.
Event registration takes place at the Hall de la pinède - Parc Floral de Paris, Bois de Vincennes - Route de la Pyramide - 75012 PARIS. Running enthusiasts, sponsors and exhibitors gather for the 2 days leading upto the Paris Half Marathon.
There are many spectators that line the Parisian streets to cheer you on with many musical events along the way. The course is relatively flat, allowing a significant number of runners to beat their personal bests. Every year, elite runners from Kenya or Ethiopia put in performances of international standard.
The Paris half marathon was enjoyed by 35,314 finishers in 2015.
