Day 1 UK – Amman
Depart the UK for Amman. Our flight is scheduled to depart London late afternoon so we arrive into Amman late and transfer to a hotel in the city centre for the night.

Day 2 Amman – Dead Sea - Petra
Once we have a little shut eye we transfer from the city of Amman to a lunch stop nestled on a cliff overlooking the Dead Sea. After sampling an array of local delicacies we head down to the waterfront and take advantage of the medicinal properties of the Dead Sea while we float in this incredible expanse of water, so heavily laden with salt you will find it impossible to sink. After floating around you can then cover yourself with Dead Sea mud, which is known for having anti-aging properties! After a quick shower and change we begin our transfer to our hotel at the lost city of Petra in preparation for the start of our trek tomorrow morning!

Day 3 Petra – Little Petra
After breakfast we will pack all of our luggage into the bus and ready ourselves for the beginning of the trek. Today we visit the magical and fascinating Unesco World Heritage Site of Petra, a city carved into the mountains and subsequently lost for hundreds of years. As we trek our guide will explain all the hidden secrets and facts of this unique city, truly giving you a snippet into the lives of those that lived here decades ago. On leaving Petra we say goodbye to the Monastery, the final landmark, as we set foot into the desert and the rest of the trek ahead. Tonight we reach a Bedouin camp where tea will be waiting. After a traditional Jordanian dinner we retreat to our tents for the night.

Trekking time approximately 4 – 6 hours - 11.5km

Day 4 Little Petra – Wadi Gnai – Wadi Bageh
After a hearty campfire cooked breakfast we ready ourselves for the day of trekking ahead. Today we cross some truly magnificent landscapes as our journey takes us through Little Petra, a Byzantine caravan station. By midday we reach a peak at Al Farch and stop to admire the amazing views down onto the Araba Desert. From here we follow creeks and crevasses as we trace the source of Wadi Gnai. Tonight we arrive at Wadi Bageh where we set up camp. Dinner will be served in a traditional manor. You can either sleep in your tent or choose to lay under the stars and wonder at the milky way above, unobstructed by light pollution.

Trekking time approximately 6 – 8 hours - 10.5km

Day 5 Wadi Bageh – Ghbour Whedat – Shkaret Msaed – Dead Sea
Today we embark on our final day of trekking. The landscape is flatter today crossing local farms and Bedouin sites. Tourists are rarely seen here and trekkers are welcomed by the locals. We will arrive at Shkaret Msaed and settle down for a picnic in this rural setting. Our trekking this afternoon follows flat desert plains as we climb slightly and meet our driver where we board the bus and transfer to our hotel on the Dead Sea, 1388ft below sea level! We enjoy this evening with our final celebration meal and toast our achievements.

Trekking time approximately 3 – 5 hours - 5.5km
Day 6 Dead Sea – Amman – UK
After a well deserved relaxing morning we pack all our belongings together and transfer back to Amman airport for our lunchtime flight home.
