May 03 2014
Candlelighters, Yorkshire’s Children’s Cancer Charity, are delighted to announce their Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is now open for registration.
Join us for this marathon of an adventure where you will tackle the Yorkshire Three Peaks; Pen Y Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough all in a single day, raising vital funds for children, and their families, fighting cancer in Yorkshire.
We simply ask that you pay your registration fee of £50 to secure your place and commit to raising a minimum of £250. Your registration fee covers all costs and includes full event support including:
- Qualified mountain leaders
- Experienced guides and fully marshalled route
- Full training plan
- Participant kit list
- Fundraising pack and support
- Qualified First aiders
- Candlelighters t-shirt
This means that every single penny you raise in sponsorship will directly support the fight against cancer in Yorkshire.
When a child is diagnosed with cancer, lives are turned upsidedown in an instant. Not just for the child but for their parents, siblings, family and friends. Priorities change and everyday concerns suddenly seem trivial.
Getting well again can be a long and challenging journey, physically, emotionally and financially.
Helping and supporting those children and their families throughout that journey is why Candlelighters was formed nearly 40 years ago and it is why they are still here today.
