At the end of last year, donations from our brilliant supporters raised more than £121,110 for our Big Give Christmas Challenge.

Now, a few months on, we are delighted to win one of twelve Christmas Challenge 2017 Awards, established to recognise the best performing of the hundreds of charities that take part each year.

Sonya Chowdhury, Chief Executive, Action for M.E., says: “Action for M.E. being awarded the UK Charity Award is the icing on the cake, given our fantastic experience with the Christmas Challenge. As part of our campaign, we shared the moving and inspiring stories of many children, young people, parents and adults affected by M.E.

“To them, and to all those who made a donation large or small, we say a huge and grateful thank you – particularly to Candis Club, who have added to the gift with which they boosted the campaign by making a further, enormously generous donation.”

As an award winner, our prize is a £1,000 cheque, generously donated by The Reed Foundation. Like all the funds we raised during the Christmas Challenge, this money will help us improve the lives of children and adults affected by M.E. by extending the reach of the information and support we provide.
