Experiences of M.E. featured in Dear Chronic Illness
Our supporter Pippa Stacey has released a compilation book featuring multiple contributors sharing their experiences of varying severities of M.E.
The book, titled Dear Chronic Illness, features a collection of short letters written by young people, addressed to their long-term illnesses and impairments, detailing what they would like to say to them.
It's a short read, comprising of 61 pages, and will be released in eBook and paperback format from Amazon.
Royalties from the book will be donated to Spoonie Survival Kits, which Pippa founded and which provides "little bags of happiness that contain a range of items that will hopefully help those with long-term conditions to smile, and remind them they are not alone."
Pippa said: "I'm absolutely thrilled for the release of Dear Chronic Illness. It's such a privilege to have this platform and to be able to share stories of what it's really like to be a young adult with a long-term illness: we hope that in doing so, it will help others to feel less alone and encourage them to share their own story as well."
"I can't say thank you enough to Leesa Wallace and the team at Wallace Publishing for their invaluable support and encouragement, and for helping us to sustain the running of Spoonie Survival Kits too."
You can find out more about the book and how it came about on the Spoonie Survival Kitsí website.
