What is Parallel London?
Parallel London is an inspiring and unique day out, taking place on Sunday 3 September in the atmospheric Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London. The event is made up of an inclusive race and a family festival, showcasing the latest in innovation and inclusion, as well as a stage with music, dance shows and inclusive games for everyone to get involved with.
People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part in whichever way they feel comfortable, whether that’s running, walking, using a mobility aid or with the help of a buddy. There are five courses to choose from, from 100m up to 10k, for those who are up for a challenge! There is also a ‘Super Sensory 1km’ course, which stimulates participants’ senses over a course comprised of all kinds of sensory experiences, from sounds and smells, to textures and colours. The Super Sensory 1k is specifically designed to engage all participants to the fullest, including individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities and individuals on the autistic spectrum.
Why join Team ADD?
Anyone who joins Team ADD gets their place in the race for free, and if they need a helping hand, their buddy also gets a free place. Participants are encouraged to fundraise and we will provide a free fundraising pack full of tips and ideas to help reach their target.
