At the heart of saving lives in Wales.
Registered Charity Number: 1154109
Every month in Wales, 800 people die from heart disease, this accounts for a third of all deaths in Wales, higher than the average for Western Europe.
If a person suffers cardiac arrest outside of hospital in Wales, their chances of survival are a mere 3% but with lifesaving CPR and defibrillator intervention, their chances soar to 50%.
Since 2013, Welsh Hearts has been working tirelessly to reduce the number of premature deaths in Wales caused by heart disease by providing public-access defibrillators and free CPR and defibrillator training.
To date, we have placed 250 defibrillators and trained over 8000 members of the public. We are immensely proud of our work and want to keep expanding until we have placed a defibrillator in every community and we have trained a nation of lifesavers.
