Having clean water means the Tibetan children in Gapa settlement in north India now won’t get sick and miss school because of drinking dirty water.

The new water filter system was installed in June and is providing fresh, safe water for the whole of the settlement to drink. Not just children but their parents and grandparents too.

Everyone is really happy to have a water filter and to not have to worry about getting sick from drinking tap water.

The filter will be serviced regularly as part of this project so it should last for many years to come.
