Prudential RideLondon 100
Jul 31 2016
Are you looking for a challenge in 2016?
We are looking for 18 cyclists to take on the 100 mile PruRide London cycling event on Sunday July 31, 2016.
Our fantastic cyclists raised an incredible £6,000 last year and we'd love to beat that.
The PruRide London is the annual 100-mile challenge born out of the 2012 London Olympics. Thousands of cyclists ride on the same closed roads as the professionals, with the added incentive of raising money for good causes like Thrive.
Every mile you cycle and every penny raised means that we canbring positive changes to the lives of more people with disabilities orill health, or those who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable byusing the power of gardening.
Last year our team (some of whom are pictured left) included Thrive CEO Kathryn Rossiter. And cyclist Paul Cobbold is enjoyed it so much he will be cycling for us again in 2016!
He said: "It was a superb cycle race, all roads were free of traffic and it was great to be able to cycle anywhere on main roads traffic free. Cycling through London and past all the major tourist attractions on roads that are normally full of traffic was just amazing.
"There was a great atmosphere amongst all the riders; a true experience well worth the effort and I relished the chance to achieve a personal goal whilst raising money for such a worthwhile charity that helps a wide range of people."
To take part costs £25 to register with us (non refundable) and cyclists will need to raise a minimum of £500. We will provide you with a high quality bespoke cycling jersey and a goody bag. We will also have people along the route to cheer you along the way!
