Ahead of next month’s National Convention, The Institute of Fundraising (IoF) are running a new campaign called ‘Proud to be a fundraiser’. The campaign promotes and celebrates the amazing work that fundraisers do, and aims to give fundraisers some of the tools needed to help charities cultivate an attitude of ‘whole organisation fundraising’. The toolkit will be launched at the IoF National Convention.

Peter Lewis, Chief Executive of the IoF said: “This is a really exciting campaign for us which gets to the heart of what the Institute of Fundraising is all about. Fundraisers do a fantastic job connecting people to causes they care about, securing vital income for important causes here and abroad. I am immensely proud of the work that they do.”

The campaign will help organisations plan for the future, showing how they can put great fundraising at the heart of everything they do. The IoF will be celebrating the work of the fundraising community, and showcasing how fundraising encourages volunteering and stronger relationships with supporters.

'Proud to be a fundraiser' has been supported by Revolutionise (previously Clayton Burnett). Director Alan Clayton said: “Income grows when the whole organisation is proud of its fundraising; [the toolkit] combines the Great Fundraising report’s findings and our experiences of working with successful fundraising leaders into a practical guide to help you implement proved strategies."

You can follow what is happening with the campaign and share your own proudest fundraising moments using the hashtag #proudfundraiser on Twitter (while you are there, remember to follow us @fundraisermag!)

The IoF National Convention is taking place 7-9th July 2014 in London. Delegates who have booked to attend the Monday sessions can also bring their CEO to the opening plenary for free.
