Siloam Christian Ministries - Education, Healthcare & Relief as a Vehicle for the Gospel

Founded in 1982 as an evangelical outreach to Portugal and the Two Thirds World, working through existing missionaries and national churches. Siloam uses medical aid, educational help, social and other relief as a vehicle for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Activities include child and family sponsorship, clothing and footwear relief, christian holidays for under-privileged children in Poland, Portugal, Bulgaria, Slovakia and the Ukraine. Siloam also brings sight to the blind in India by funding cataract operations and maintains a Bible College in Chennai and supports more than 50 pastors. Siloam also funds a Christmas food parcel outreach to needy families in Portugal and Bulgaria. Since January 1990, a medical equipment and relief aid outreach has taken several thousand tons of aid to Eastern Europe in its Siloam vehicles. Siloam also sponsors two projects in the Philippines, one looking after abandoned babies and another rescuing children off the streets of Manila.Siloam also co-sponsors personal evangelists working in the UK with the homeless and 'down and out' community.
