Legacies

An incredible 29% of our income in 2009/2010 was from gifts generously pledged by our supporters in their wills.

Legacies of all values are a way of giving that is an important part of how we continue to develop our extensive range of services, both at the Hospice and out in our community. But only one in seven of us who make a will includes a gift to charity.

You could help us make a real difference to the future quality of care available to people in your area living with life limiting illnesses by leaving a legacy to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. It’s straightforward and free of inheritance tax.

If you would like to find out more, please contact Susan Crowe, Legacy Officer, on 01252 729419 or email susan.crowe@pth.org.uk.

All conversations will be kept confidential and please do remember that, should your circumstances change your intended gift is not legally binding.

Make a Pledge

Gifts left in wills are really important to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice. However even if you haven't made a will, making a pledge to do so in the future would really help us to find out about your future intentions.

Pledges are not legally binding so by filling out this form you are not committing yourself! You are simply allowing Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice to confidently estimate future support for their cause.

Leave a Legacy

If you have already made a will but you want to leave a legacy to a charity you can make an addition or change it without re-writing your current will. This addition is called a codicil.

To leave a legacy to Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice please download the codicil form below and take it along to your solicitor.

Please note however that this form is not legally binding on its own and has to be part of your main will. We advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor.

If you have any questions about leaving a legacy to us, please contact Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice directly – they will be happy to discuss this with you.
