Mid Staffs Mind works flexibly with people to promote and maintain the health and emotional wellbeing of the surrounding community. A Local registered charity, we specialise in individual mental health & social care working to promote the well-being of all in our community & facilitating the recovery of people with mental health concerns.

Unless otherwise stated all groups have a subscription fee of £1 per session.  (a small assessment is required upon second visit)

Our new ecotherapy group in partnership with Cheslyn Hay Allotments Association.

 

Our Ecotherapy  group has been specifically designed to support people who are experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues to participate in a weekly gardening group.

 

Individual attendees will be required to pay £1 subscription for each attendance.  Home grown produce to help promote healthy eating.  Personal progression and skills achieved will be reviewed every 8 weeks.

 

At this venue there are no disabled facilities and there are currently no toilets on site.

Tuesdays  2 p.m. – 4 p.m.

 

The badminton group encourages people of all ages and abilities to join them at Cannock Leisure Centre.  Equipment is provided and a charge of £2.50 per player covers court costs.

 

You don’t have to be fit as a fiddle, you don’t have to know one end of a racquet from the other, we’ll  guide you through the basics and the rules.  Club members know what it’s like to ‘be the new guy’ (or gal!) and ‘rusty’ in terms of fitness & technique, and they are very supportive and encouraging to new members.

Based in Rugeley the group enables people to learn to express their feelings in an artistic manner.  It also provides people the opportunity to learn new or refresh existing skills, in building confidence, social contact and well being.  Activities include art, drama and music as well as peer support.
