MicroLoan Foundation is a very different kind of charity, offering hope, not handouts. Our small loans and ongoing business training and support enable impoverished women in sub-Saharan Africa to set up self-sustainable businesses. These livelihoods allow the women to work their own way out of poverty.

MicroLoan is currently supporting over 27,000 women in Malawi and Zambia. With their business profits, women invest in food, education and health care for their families, as well as saving for a future free from poverty.

Once the businesses are profiting, our clients pay back their loans, which are recycled and re-lent. So the impact of a donation to MicroLoan Foundation is felt over and over again.
