Aug 09 2014
For a fifth successive year the charity is delighted to be returning to Tatton Park in Cheshire for Walk Ten in summer 2014.
Gather together friends, family or colleagues to enjoy a 10k twilight walk in support of your local Marie Curie Nurses joining hundreds of others as you walk through the beautiful grounds anddeer parkofTattonParkbefore returning through a magically lit fairytale wood.
Write your own personal message for a loved one on a candle bag and our glowing display of remembrance will welcome you on your return. Afterwards enjoy a picnic or something special from our caterers whilst listening to the live entertainment.
The evening concludes with a special Nursing message and fantastic firework display at 10pm, to commemorate the time at which our nurses are starting their shifts in a patient’s home.
In 2013 the event raised around £40k but in 2014 we’d like to raise even more for nursing care in your local community so that as many terminally patients as possible can continue to be treated in their own homes.
Please note dogs are welcome but the route may not be suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
