Edinburgh to Dublin Cycle Challenge
Jul 12 2012
Discover the dramatic mountain landscape of Scotland and Irelandís rolling green countryside as you cycle along the 220 mile route from Edinburgh to Dublin.
This three day adventure will take you from capital to capital, on your first day cycling through quiet country lanes from Edinburgh to Troon, where you'll catch a ferry to Larne for an overnight rest. Savour the beauty of the east coast of Ireland and absorb the stunning landscapes as you ride south towards your destination.
The cycling will be a challenge, but as you reach Dublin on Day Three, youíll be greeted with a Champagne reception followed by a celebration dinner. Youíll even have a chance to explore Dublin by foot on Day Four, before flying back to Edinburgh later that afternoon. This is an extraordinary challenge with every mile you ride, and every penny you raise helping Marie Curie nurses to provide care and support to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes, close to the people they love.
Marie Curie Cancer Care will be hosting an open evening on Tuesday 31st January at Finneganís Wake bar in Edinburgh, to enjoy a bit of Irish hospitality. So come and join us from 6pm to find out a bit more about this brand new event, visit our website at www.mariecurie.org.uk/edinburghdublin, or call us on 08700 340 040.
