KSDP will shortly provide funds to build a brand new medical clinic to provide facilities for several villages within Karenni State, where they have previously had nothing. This project is a wonderful example of their motto: "Helping the Karenni to Help Themselves", because it is the brain child of Moe Bu, a Karenni refugee who has received KSDP support over the past seven years. In 2012, Moe Bu realised her first 'dream' by becoming a qualified nurse and now her second dream of providing medical facilities which will be sited in her own village but shared with several other adjacent villages is about to be granted. KSDP will finance the building of the clinic and initial running costs, and if all goes to plan, the clinic will be up and running early in 2014.
