21 Bridges Walk

Date Posted: 01 May 2013

This is a very special year for The Foundation as we are celebrating Jimmy’s 21st birthday and commemorating the 5th anniversary of Jimmy’s death. Jimmy21 is a year long campaign to help raise funds and awareness.

What better way to support us than to join us on the walk and raise sponsorship monies which will be used to help make communities safer for our young people. We will send you an information pack once your registration has been received.

Routes

http://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/197489848

Standard

The standard route is the longest and most challenging of the two offered routes and takes on 21 bridges of London! This route is definitely a challenge as you will walk approximately 21 miles and in doing so take in more of London's sites. Starting at 8.30am.

Family

Our family friendly route starts at checkpoint 3 on the borders of Battersea Park and is a pleasant 7 mile route finishing with the Standard route at Tower Bridge.

Sponsorship

There is no minimum sponsorship target for the 2013 event, however the registration fee only covers the cost of running the event so we rely on the sponsorship raised by all our walkers to help continue our vital work. For the 2013 event we are asking all walkers to aim to raise at least £100 in sponsorship, but don't worry, we will provide you with information to help get you started!

Start Times

The Standard route walkers will leave the start area in Richmond between 8.30 - 9.15am. Please note that late comers may not be able to register at the start area.
The family route walkers will leave the start area in Battersea at 12.00 noon

Finish Area

Revel in the satisfaction of acheiving greatness and receive the Jimmy21 Bridges certificate! Light refreshments will also be available at a drinks reception at the Bridge House Bar on Tower Bridge Road.
