About us

Initially founded in 1858, GCAB is a registered Charity which exists to support sight impaired people throughout Gloucestershire.

We aim to provide advice and support for people with significant sight loss, to enable them to continue to lead independent lives.

Our Cheltenham resource centre, on the corner of Albion Street and Grosvenor Terrace, displays and supplies a wide range of daily living aids and assistive technology equipment including

  • Clocks and watches
  • CCTVs
  • Lighting
  • Kitchen Aids
  • Magnifiers - by appointment

We also offer information and advice on eye conditions, coping with sight loss, benefits and how to access support groups and clubs.
