Beast Race 2017

For Scottish Mountain Rescue

Sep 02 2017

I have managed to persuade my mum to join me in running the 10km Beast Race at Loch Ness this September. We have decided to try and raise money for Scottish Mountain Rescue.

Scottish Mountain rescue run day and night, 365 days a year, in any and every weather condition. They are the front line search and rescue service for those who have been exploring Scotland's country side and find themselves in a troublesome situation. They often put themselves in dangerous situations in order to deliver these essential services and save lives on the mountains. The service is made of 23 volunteer Mountain Rescue Teams (including Scottish Cave Rescue) with over 800 volunteers who liaise with police and RAF support teams.

Due to close family experience myself and my mum understand how valuable this service is and want to try and support them in continuing the life saving work that they do.

Please help us in doing this. Any donation will be greatly appreciated by ourselves, the Scottish mountain rescue team and the people they help.
