The Foundation for Liver Research

Founded in 1972, the Trust has recently established a new Institute of Hepatology to enhance its capability of supporting research into liver disorders. The new building has space for 40 researchers and is situated within the campus of University College London. Current research programmes are directed towards hepatitis viruses and prevention of chronic liver disease, new gene therapy based approaches to liver cancer treatment and the study of factors promoting liver recovery and regeneration.
