Expanded Text:	The Royal Star & Garter Home, an independent registered Charity based on Richmond Hill, has been caring for disabled ex-Service personnel since 1916 and celebrates its 90th Anniversary this year. The Charity is in the process of implementing an ambitious strategy to build three new care homes, one of which in the wider Richmond area will eventually replace the existing home. The second will be in Solihull in the West Midlands, and should be fully operational by July 2008. The location of the third is still to be confirmed. The aim is to enable more elderly disabled ex-Service people in different parts of the country to be cared for in Royal Star Garter homes. Residents in the new homes will be accommodated in large bed sitting rooms with en suite facilities and will continue to benefit from the wide range of therapies and activities the Charity provides now. In addition each new home will incorporate a 15 place unit to care for those with dementia for whom there is little provision at present.
