During the month of July Kathleen Grove returned to Broughton House for the first time since her Father - Broughton House Resident Joseph Hague of the 11^th Hussars sadly passed away in 1968.

It was an emotional visit for Kathleen as she relayed how her Father had been shot off his Horse causing damage to his wrist then subsequently admitted to the Home on the 4^th January 1938.  Unfortunately as time passed by disease took hold and eventually Joseph became paralysed from the neck down. 

Kathleen remembered how her Mother had visited the Home every Saturday and she went on to share fond memories with current Staff of how the local Jewish community helped out in the Home keeping her Father company and sometimes feeding him.
