Aberdeen Foyer was created in 1995 and works in the prevention and alleviation of homelessness and unemployment of young people, and the associated issues, through its charity and social enterprise. The Foyer arranges supported accommodation for 16-25 year olds across 7 locations, offers officially recognised training and learning opportunities at a variety of levels as well as several other services open to tenants as well as the community. These services include health, mentoring, education, music, rehabilitation as well as preventative support for families whose young people are at of future educational or social crisis. Aberdeen Foyer takes a practical approach and celebrates the positive in every young person as they continue their work in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire’s communities.
